Erfahrener und international ausgezeichnet – das Renner Ensemble kehrt aus Cornwall zurück
Vom 29.04. bis 04.05.2015 fand in Cornwall, England, das internationale Chorfestival CIMVCF (Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival) statt, an welchem das Renner Ensemble Regensburg als einzige deutsche Formation teilgenommen hat. Hierzu zählten zahlreiche Konzerte, die von ca. 70 Chören aus aller Welt über ganz Cornwall verteilt gestaltet wurden.
Truro, Liskeard und Falmouth waren die Orte, an welchen die Sänger gastierten. Im Rahmen des Festivals fand auch einer der renommiertesten Chorwettbewerbe in Europa statt, den das Ensemble erfolgreich mit dem dritten Platz in der Kategorie „40 Stimmen und weniger“ absolvierte.
Neben strapaziöser Anreise und straffem Terminplan blieb dennoch etwas Zeit, sich mit den anderen Chören auszutauschen und Kontakte zu knüpfen. Wiedererstarkt durch diesen Erfolg setzt das Ensemble seine diesjährigen Auftritte mit den beiden Hochämtern zu Pfingsten in der Münchner Pfarrkirche St. Margaret am 24.05.2015 und im Regensburger Dom am 25.05.2015 fort.

Internationally awarded and more experienced – the Renner Ensemble returns from Cornwall
Being the only choir from Germany, the Renner Ensemble Regensburg participated in the CIMVCF (Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival) which took place at different places all over Cornwall between the 29th of April and the 4th of May. About 70 vocal groups and choirs from all over the world performed in numerous concerts and services.
The singers from Regensburg gave their performances in Truro, Liskeard and Falmouth. The Renner Ensemble also participated in an internationally renowned competition in the category ‘40 voices and below’ and was awarded the third prize. A big step the choir can be proud of!
Although the journey was quite exhausting and the schedule was very tight, there was enough time for networking with other musicians and for nice conversations. Encouraged by this success the ensemble goes on with its concerts and many other events. The next performances are the high masses at Pentecost in St. Margaret in Munich (24th of May) and in the cathedral of Regensburg (25th of May).
