Vom 30. April bis 3. Mai nimmt das Renner Ensemble am Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival (CIMVCF) teil. Das CIMVCF ist eines der renommiertesten Festivals dieser Art weltweit, weswegen wir sehr freuen, Deutschland dort zu vertreten! Es bietet Männerchören aus aller Welt die Möglichkeit, Konzerte an verschiedenen Orten in Cornwall zu geben, an Workshops teilzunehmen, sich in einem Chorwettbewerb vor einer internationalen Jury zu messen und Kontakte mit vielen Sängern und Chorleitern zu knüpfen.
Das Renner Ensemble wird beim Wettbewerb in der Kategorie „40 Stimmen und weniger“ mit folgenden Stücken an den Start gehen: Deus, tu convertens von G.P. da Palestrina (+1594), Preghiera von Gioachino Rossini (+1868) und Gloria von Ko Matsushita (*1962). Die Konkurrenz ist stark, aber wir werden selbstverständlich unser Bestes geben!
Neben dem Wettbewerb, der am Samstag, den 2. Mai stattfindet, wird das Renner Ensemble an einer Matinee und zwei Galakonzerten mitwirken. Bei diesen Anlässen werden Teile aus dem aktuellen geistlichen Programm „Da pacem, Domine“ zu hören sein. Wir freuen uns sehr auf die Reise nach England und hoffen natürlich, beim Wettbewerb an die früheren Erfolge des Renners bei internationalen Wettbewerben anknüpfen zu können!

From 30 April to 3 May, the Renner Ensemble is going to participate in the Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival (CIMVCF). The CIMVCF is one most renowned festivals for male voices in the world and so we are very happy to be invited and to represent Germany! Male choirs from around the world get the chance to perform at different places throughout Cornwall, to take part in workshops, to compete in front of an international jury, and to make friends with many other singers and conductors.
The Renner Ensemble is going to compete in the category “40 voices and under” with presenting the following compositions: Deus, tu convertens by G.P. da Palestrina (+1594), Preghiera by Gioachino Rossini (+1868), and Gloria by Ko Matsushita (*1962). It is going to be a strong competition, but we will give our best!
Besides the competition on Saturday, we are going to perform in a lunchtime concert and two gala concert where pieces from our recent program “Da pacem, Domine” will be sung. We are so looking forward to the trip to England and hope that we can be as successful as former generations of Renners participating in international competitions!
